I got a call from my friend.

A special day was coming up for the woman he loves.

He wanted it to be unforgettable.

He didn’t want an ordinary gift.

Nothing you can buy anywhere, then lose.

My friend, unconvinced by the usual gifts.

So I asked him something.

Why don’t we make her a web page, with a video?

Would that work?

I’m pretty sure it would.

A gift she could hold on to.

Something to go back to, and feel all over again.

Because the real gift isn’t the page.

It’s what the page tells her.

So we built it.

Hey Terry, what's up, man? Sorry I'm just getting back to you. Yesterday got a little crazy. So yeah, I finally sent Rachel the page we put together. She was at her parents' place when she opened it, and I guess her mom was sitting next to her. Dude, her mom starts crying before Rachel does. I'm not even kidding.

Sorry, I know I was being so difficult about the colours and everything. But my best friend loved it. We were together when she opened it, and she was just laughing at first because some of those pictures are honestly embarrassing. Then she got to the part about when we first moved to Lagos together. You remember the little story I sent you? Yeah, that one. She just went quiet and started reading it again.
